Making Fake Whitebait Fritters

This term for our novel study, Mrs A read us Whitebait Fritters which is a novel written by a Kiwi |\

To wind up our learning we decided to make some fake whitebait fritters because we can’t afford to buy real whitebait. We used grated potato to take the place of whitebait and mixed it with eggs and onions. They were really tasty. Then we had to write out the recipe, put it on a Google Drawing and add some images. You can see my work below.

Science Fair

Yesterday we had our school science fair. My science investigation was about paper plane.

On Tuseday the year 4s went to Waitangi to do digital learning using scratch and unplugged activities. My favourite activity was the scratch because you can move the people and create your own person.

Why are video games bad for people?

Do you enjoy playing video games? A video game is a game played using a controller with a tv or computer. These games are created to engage people and give them something to do. I  believe video games are bad and here are my reasons why.

Firstly, video games are bad because it keeps you there for a long period of time and you might forget that you have other things to do.  You might forget that you have to feed the cat and dog because you are hooked into the video game.  The poor dog or cat will starve.

Secondly, video games are bad because some of them have inappropriate things.  Some games have guns and involve killing people which is not good for young aged children to play.  

Finally, video games are bad for kids because they can become addicted and stay up all night. Kids need sleep so they can focus at school the next day and so they learn things. Kids need sleep so that we can grow taller and stronger. 

These are the reasons why I think video games are bad.  Kids should be playing outside or playing board games.

Maths Book
