summer Leanring Journey

My favourite thing to do in summer is....

To have a swim at the beach or the pool
, an ice cream at the beach , build a sand castle.
And have a picnic.

Term 4 Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work.
We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

One thing I did well was draw the buildings.

One thing I could improve on are making my circles smaller.

Summer is so hot.

Vaseline Saucer

This term we made Vaseline Saucers.We had to make it symmetrical like a mirror.So we had to put the same things on both sides.We made them out of petals and Vaseline  on the plastic plate so they stuck to the plate.

Christmas tree poem

In Team Awa we wrote a poem .First we had to sketch a Christmas tree. Next we wrote a poem about Christmas. Here is my work :

Matariki

Today it was Matariki  and we did some art  and cooking for Matariki.

I like Matariki it’s about the 7 sisters.If you look out your window you might  see the 7 sisters. I like Matariki because it’s so cool.I like Matariki because the 7 sister shine.

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly.

I am almost finished Stage 2-3.

Handwriting Term 2

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at my letters.

I need to get better at making letters even and spelling my surname.

ASB Get wise

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money, spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money ie eftpos. I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt. I liked learning about how to save money .
